The lithograph published by Associated American Artists in an edition of 250 prints is signed by the artist in pencil below the image lower right and listed as Fath catalog number 57.

Benton's comments in Fath read: Drawing made in 1943 in North Carolina - part of a series of the Tobacco industry made at request of American Tobacco Co. The shed is where the tobacco is dried out with night and day slow fires beneath. There is a painting of this owned by Mr. & Mrs. Constable of Kansas City.
Image measures 8.5 x 13 with a framed size of 16.5 x 20.75 inches.
Very good to fine condition, the full untrimmed sheet with deckle edges, not laid down, no damage, stain (noting a small minor stain upper right corner, super pale outline from a previous mat only under close scrutiny) no puncture or repair; framed to archival standards in acid free mounts.
