Each session will include cataloged and un-catalogued lots. Cataloged lots will be subject to remote bidding options like live Internet bidding, live telephone bidding (in some cases) and absentee bidding.

Un-catalogued lots will not be subject to any remote bidding or shipping options. Buyers must be in attendance in order to bid on un-cataloged lots.

Friday, November 1 at 5:30 pm: Session One: A Collection of more than 500 Transistor Radios. Robert Lane and his son David wrote the book Transistor Radios: A Collector’s Encyclopedia and Price Guide, and illustrated it using the collection up for bid here. This auction will begin at 5:30pm Central with an uncatalogued offering of group lots of transistor radios offered to the in-house crowd only. This portion will be followed by anoffering of more transistor radios in cataloged format subject to bidding by the in-house crowd and remote bidders through live Internet bidding. A link to the online catalog picturing all of the cataloged radios in this session will be posted here at least two weeks before the sale.

Saturday, November 2 at 11 am: Session Two begins with the earliest models in the collection and progresses chronologically through early Marconi and other models, Early Avionics, Crystal Sets, rare early receivers by obscure companies in Kansas City and around the Midwest, Vacuum Tube Radios, Breadboards, early Horns with Drivers, etcetera. More concise information detailing exactly what sells on this day will be posted at least two weeks before the auction.

This session will begin with cataloged lots subject to bidding by the in-house crowd and to remote bidding options like live Internet and absentee bidding.

Following the last cataloged lot for this day, uncatalogued lots will be offered to the in-house crowd only.

Advertising items and ephemera relating to the models being offered on this day will be sold this same day.

Sunday, November 3 at 11 am: Session Three begins by date of manufacture (generally) where Session Two ended, most likely with 1930s Tombstone, Cathedral and Console Cabinet Models, (SUBJECT TO CONFIRMATION) Bakelite and Colorful Catalin models, Blue and other Mirrored Models, Comic Character rarities like Mickey Mouse and other Disney, The Lone Ranger, World’s Fair, The Dionne Quintuplets, Camera Radios, Microphones, Art Deco Lamp Radios and Speakers, 1960s to 1980s designs, Novelties, etcetera. Early televisions and related items will be offered on this day. More concise information detailing exactly what sells on this day will be posted at least two weeks before the auction.
