The Jeffrey Bushman Collection of Important Turkmen Weavings

Known to many in the field, Jeff had a very discerning eye. His small but formidable collection of chuvals, torbas and ensis is comprised almost entirely of extraordinary examples that are outside the norm in one respect or another. Many incorporate silk and a number of the pieces have been published or have provenance to important collections like the Siawosch Azadi Saryk Ensis sold Austria Auction Company Fine Antique Oriental Rugs XXIX 11. June 2022. Lot 91. A handful of rugs and carpets from local estates will be included, including a fine silk Heriz circa 1890.
