227: A BACCARAT VASE WITH BRONZE MERMAIDS SIGNED ERTE'

A heavy cut and polished crystal vase signed Baccarat by acid stamp on the base; two bronze mermaid figural handles modeled by and signed Erte' as the pseudonym for Romain de Tirtoff the Russian born French designer (1892 - 1990). Signed Erte' inside a bronze figure and numbered 90/199. Erte' and the French glassware company Baccarat located in Baccarat, France worked together on a number of crystal and bronze art objects. The measurements here are 14 inches across handles and 13.5 inches tall.
