156: AN EARLY 20TH C. LOUIS XV STYLE MIRRORED CONSOLE

A large rocaille carved mirror with rectangular plate surmounted by arched serpentine crest with 1237d scrolled foliate, corners adorned with C-scrolls and flowers; Console having serpentine shaped cream marble top, above a conforming 1237d C-scroll and acanthus apron, floral hung and ruffled acanthus decorated cabriole legs, joined by an X-stretcher with a 1237d rocaille shell with fC-scroll decoration, on scrolled feet. The base measures 33.25 x 52 x 15 inches. Mirror measures 62 x 42 inches.
Good condition, complete and original though with moderate flaking and loss of original gilding on some high points, and more so on the feet. An old amateur repair, no other damage, no major restoration.
