157: A VERY GOOD PAIR 18TH C. FRENCH OR ITALIAN MIRRORS

A nice small scale pair with central cartouche form plate surrounded by a number of asymmetrical compartments of rococo style throughout; old, if not original, variegated mirror plate and the original untouched surface overall, original worn gilding, original backing etc. Very fine examples. Each mirror measures 28 x 14.5 inches.
Minor splits and chips throughout, a scattered few insect holes, very minor repairs. Quite good overall free from repair or serious damage.
