The classic rancher's hat with tall crown, purple grosgrain ribbon and broad rim having an upturned edge is embossed with the word CHAMOIS in gold on the inner band along with an embossed image of that animal source of fine leather as well as the brand of ''Chas P. Shipley Saddlery & Mercantile Company Kansas City, Missouri.''
