27: A GOOD COLORFUL LATE 20TH CENTURY NAVAJO YEI FIGURE RUG

The corn maiden figures holding feathers and positioned with bright green corn stalks topped with yellow silks, all enclosed by an elongated figure framing the composition. ten bright colors against a natural dark brown ground.
Measures 32 x 42 inches.
Very fine condition, noting one small stain. Clean and odor free with intact edges, corner tassels and ends, no damage, mothing, repair or other stain. Hanging ribbons sewn along one long side. One tiny bit of mothing exposes a small area warp.
Provenance: this weaving was purportedly once held in the collection of a founding member of the Mid-America All-Indian Center Museum.
