222: A LATE 19TH C. SILVER COVERED CHALICE ATTR. HANAU

The cover formed by a cast silver dome with child figure and applied hammered rim. A cast silver body with applied hammered rim over three-dimensional cherub faces and relief designs that include fleur-des-lis, a cast stem and dome base, again with a hammered silver foot applied. The foot bears stamped hallmarks similar to those of Hanau makers. Measures 11 x 3.75 inches.
Good condition, a possible loss noted from the object in the hand of the surmount figure.
