149: A PAIR FRAMED PLAQUES FROM PENNSYLVANIA RR LOUNGE CAR

The two matching framed wood plaques with enamel decoration in high relief, signed L. Ross, the designs inspired by Early American Pressed Glass, the two are seen in images of various Pennsylvania Railroad lounge and sleeper lounge cars including Sumac Falls and some of the View series, a fleet of six sleeper lounges. The period looks to be circa 1945 with use through the following decades.
Each measures 22 x 25 inches.
Very good original condition, there are no issues of damage or repair.
