189: MAHOGANY VICTOR VI PHONOGRAPH WITH SPEARTIP HORN

Rare early model Victor '6' mahogany phonograph, serial #5312, circa 1904. Early models of this machine were marked with '6' rather than the Roman numeral and the case hinges opened from the side rather than the front. This machine includes fluted corner columns with ormolu capitals, a 12-inch turntable with original spindle and ball-bearings for added stability, driven by a three-spring motor. Case measures 8 x 15 x 15 inches. Horn measures 24 x 22 inches. Very good restored playing condition.
