22: A LATE 19TH C. FRENCH PATINATED SPELTER SCULPTURE

After F. Milliot (French late 19th / early 20th century), the bronzed patinated spelter figure of a young man in contraposto pose with rolled up breaches and waistcoat, he holds a shallow basket of fruit (grapes, olives?) and sheaf of wheat with the other, supported on elaborate naturalistic bow-front scrolling and paneled plinth base with applied titled cartouche plaque signed F. Milliot on a stand and titled 'Agriculture'. Measures 41 x 14.5 x 13 inches.
Repair to the ankle area of each leg. Otherwise good with the original patina.
