Cimiotti was a well-regarded American Impressionist artist and teacher active at the height of the movement. He exhibited at the 1913 Armory show ("an art exhibition opened in New York City that shocked the country, changed our perception of beauty and had a profound effect on artists and collectors" - NPR). His biography includes the names John Twachtmann, John La Farge, Winslow Homer and William Merritt Chase.
