The early and fairly rare wireless avionics communication device from 1917 is tagged inside: AIRPLANE RADIO RECEIVER SET WITH INTERPHONE TYPE S.C.R 59 SIGNAL CORPS US ARMY and was made by Western Electric, the last patent date on this particular set is 1915, the National Air and Space Museum dates these to 1917.

Measures 4.5 x 12.75 x 9.5 inches.
Measures 5.75 x 9.5 x 13 inches.
Very good condition, noting the presence of the three hard-to-find and expensive VT-1 tubes.
