52: A 19TH C. SEVRES-TYPE PORCELAIN BRONZE MOUNTED COMPOTE

A large open cobalt ground Sevres style porcelain compote painted with an oval view of lovers in a forest setting surrounded by gold border and beading, rococo decoration in gold enamels throughout the body. The opposite view a painted scene of gold flower basket with florals and swirls in gold enamels. Artist signed and attributed to Jean Pierre Fumez. Measures 15.25 x 18 inches across the handles. Provenance: The Joseph Candioto Trust. We ship in-house for all items with the exception of very large and or very fragile pieces and some international shipments.
Very good condition, noting less than 5% of the gold enamel lost form the surface. There are no chips, cracks, repairs, scratches of heavy wear beyond a very small number of enamel bits lost.
