150: A NATIONAL UNION OF RAILWAYMEN WHIST CHAMP PLAQUE

The oak shield-form whist trophy with ornate cast brass applications. including the large central shield with top banner with hand engraved lettering of NATIONAL UNION OF RAILWAYMEN, the inset is engraved FOR ANNUAL COMPETITION and the cartouche below that BIRMINGHAM DISTRICT WHIST LEAGUE. Some of the surrounding shields are engraved with wins from years back to 1919.
Measures 26.5 x 20.5 x 2 inches.
Very good original condition, there are no issues of damage or repair, patina, toning, varnish overcoats.
