A very well executed and unsigned painting of mallards coming in over a field of corn, the lighting flock of pairs and bachelor drakes depicted in the manner of compositions by Richard E. Bishop (1887-1975), noting the anatomy of the birds hanging over their target area, treatment of the clouds on the horizon, the furrows leading the eye to the center of the composition, the sunlight and shadows on the birds, the workmanship, the brush strokes, and the quality can be compared to that of Pennsylvania artist Richard Bishop, executed on professional grade Grumbacher materials.
Canvas measures 26 x 22, the frame is 25.5 x 29.5 inches.
Very good original untouched condition. There are no issues of scratches, losses, repairs, in-painting or touch-up.
