58: A LARGE STEVEN HILL STUDIO POTTERY VASE

A large and pronounced ovoid form fired in multiple glazes, signed on the underside of the base. Steven Hill is an accomplished potter who enjoys sharing his talents and discoveries through teaching, spearheading workshops and publishing articles on the finer points of construction and glaze. He has conducted nearly 200 workshops, written dozens of articles and been invited to exhibit in more than 150 shows internationally since receiving his BFA from Kansas State University in 1973. He now throws pots and teaches from his studio located at 323 Clay Street in Independence, Missouri.
Measures 14.75 x 9 inches.
Very good condition. There are no chips, cracks, repairs, scratches or areas of heavy wear.
