225: A SPELTER CAMEL FIGURAL CLOCK AFTER ANTOINE BARYE

A patinated spelter figure of camel with litter that houses a clock case, the dial set with enamel numeral markers in variant Arabic script and a brass time-only movement inside. The camel and its accoutrements are executed in considerable detail, the naturalistic base is cast with the signature Bayre. Measures 17.25 x 10 inches.
Missing one clock hand, missing an ornament to the case right side, the figure is lose on the oval footed base.
