144: A GOOD SEVRES PORCELAIN BOX ARTIST SIGNED POITEVIN

A circa 1900 hand painted Sevres porcelain box, the demilune shape with hand painted reserves on cobalt blue ground surrounded by raised gilt scrollwork, the convex cover with romantic scene on the lid artist signed H. Poitevin, the front decorated with a reserve of florals and allegory of music, the inside with studies of fleur-des-lis like purple flowers. Under the base is a blue Sevres factory mark under glaze. Measures 3 x 7 inches.
Very good condition. There are no chips, cracks, repairs or issues of wear.
