252: A SEVRES TYPE ARTIST SIGNED COVERED VASE C. 1890

The domed cover with gilded bronze acanthus bud finial and gold enamels rests on a pierced rim over the tapering body of the vase with artist-signed hand painted reserve of lovers in 18th century garb framed in elaborate gold decoration, the bulbous base on upturned gilded bronze fitting atop the socle base raised on square ormolu base with canted corners.
Measures 15.5 x 4.5 inches.
Very good condition, free from damage, repair, scratches of wear.
