16: LIGHT, NUMBER BOARD, BUILDER PLATE- NYC J3 HUDSON #5449

A very rare and intact grouping that includes the Builder's Plate, Number Board, Aluminum oval logo and headlight from New York Central locomotive number 5449. The Builder's Plate 68883 dated March 1938, iron number board and numerals on wood mounted to aluminum bracket with cast aluminum NEW YORK CENTRAL SYSTEM logo oval further embossed NYC back side, the headlight's housing cast with various embossed lettering as shown has the original glass with acid etched Pyle National conjoined PN company logo on the reflector, original zinc tag stamped with RR RECORD No C - 125 - CLH.
New York Central number 5449 was for a time shrouded as a streamliner and saw service with New York Central's 20th Century Limited passenger service.
Headlight measures 17 x 18 x 16 inches. Builders plate measures 7.5 x 14 x 0.5 inches. Number board measures 18.75 x 6.5, the oval is 10 x 15 with an overall of 17 x 18.75 inches.
PLEASE NOTE THAT THE FRONT LENS IS A REPLACEMENT, NOT GLASS. Very good intact condition throughout.
