9: A VERY FINE EARLY 19C FRENCH BRONZE CLOCK W/MUSIC

A patinated bronze ststue clock with dore' elements, standing Roman soldier and youth at a well head with ormolu goat heads at each corner and a laurel wreath surrounding the dial, porcelain enamel dial with hand painted floral garland, raised on a high rib downswept patinated bronze base with ormolu lion masks and laurel garland raised on four Roman key feet. A time and strike brass plate movement with assembly to activate the cylinder music box housed in the oval wood stand. Measures 21 x 16.5 x 6 inches. Music box stand measures 4.5 x 10.25 x 21 inches.

The clocks winds, runs and chimes well. Very good overall condition, no damage, hairlines or chips to the dial, no wear to the ormolu or patina, no damage, repair or major replacement. The music box winds and runs, no missing teeth, very good overall. There is no functioning mechanism that connects clock to music box or activates music box other than using the switches on the veneered oval base. We cannot guarantee the running condition of antique timepieces once removed form the premises.
