A late 19th century ink well, the domed porcelain hinged cover with brass finial and rim hand painted capriccio scenes in Sevres blue enamels, the fine original cut and polished glass insert mounted with a brass rim rests in the porcelain body decorated with busy cupids in hand painted Sevres blue enamels, a Sevres like signature under the base with the initials L F .
