31: AN RJ HORNER QUARTERSAWN OAK SIDEBOARD CIRCA 1890

A hooded RJ Horner quartersawn oak sideboard with details of winged griffins, lion's heads and cherubs. Large figural cherub crest tops large bonnet supported by winged griffins with c-scroll detailing. Base includes three drawers with carved lion's head pulls, over three cabinet doors with carved relief panels depicting cherubs, vine-and-leaf, and heraldic crest with central egg detailing, and massive bottom linens drawer. Base bounded by two lion's head columns descending into massive carved claw feet. Includes functioning lock and key in each inset door. Measures 68 x 72 x 24 inches. Very good restored condition.
