100: HANNAH AND FLORENCE BARLOW DOULTON LAMBETH VASES

A circa 1880s pair of hand-carved vases with cartouche reserves depicting pastoral cattle in several panels on each vase and flanked by hand-painted birds. Artist's initials 'BHB' for Hannah B Barlow and 'FEB' for Florence E Barlow along with impressed factory marks under the base. Measure 16 inches high each.

Hannah and Florence Barlow were sisters who worked together at the Doulton factory in Lambeth, London, England for more than 40 years. Florence specialized in painting flowers and birds while Hannah depicted horses and other animals.
Very good. There are no chips, cracks or repairs.
