41: A VERY RARE GRAY GRANITE WARE CASTOR SET WITH BOTTLES

An excellent example of this rare granite ware item. The dull metal mounts, presumably nickel, encompassing gray granite ware enameling on the dome shape base and on the upper platform with four holes to accommodate the four perfectly matched bottles decorated by hand engraved foliate designs. Circa 1890 to 1910, these are a scarce item in granite ware and hard to find in nice condition such as this. Measures 7.25 x 15.5 inches.
Very good condition. There are no chips, cracks or repairs to granite ware enameling or glass.
