2: PERIOD AMERICAN TIGER MAPLE HEPPLEWHITE PEMBROKE TABLE

An 18th c. New England Pembroke table with highly figured tiger maple top and half-round drop leaves, swing-out support brackets, a bowed front drawer with cock beading at one end; a false drawer front at the opposite end with matching brasses mounted to the bowed skirt. All brasses are the originals. The pulls for the false drawer front are loose but present. The highly figured tapering legs on their original heavy brass casters with exceptionally wide rollers. Note that the top has a molded edge and an internal splice that runs its entire length. Measures 29.5 x 33.5 x 31 inches.
An unfortunate large chip to the hinge edge of one drop leaf as shown in the images. Four inches of veneer lost above the false drawer, a 3-inch piece of this veneer is loose and present. Otherwise very good, intact, untouched and original. The top finish is uneven, irregular and not yet pleasing to the eye, but no attempts have been made thus far to improve its appearance.
