298: A SIMONS BROTHERS GOLD CROWN WALKING STICK

The ebonized wood shaft is topped by a gold or gold-filled top and tipped with nickel ferrule. The top crown is chased with scrolls and swags and stamped with the Simons Brothers hallmark below numeral 2 beside a capital letter A. There is no trefoil mark as is typically found on Simons Brothers works that are gold-filled rather than solid gold. The domed top is lightly engraved with a three letter monogram and the date' 88.
Measures 36.25 inches in length.
Very good original condition, there are no issues of damage or repair, light wear in some areas.
