404: A NEW GUINEA CARVED WOOD SPIRIT FIGURE

The Yipwon or Kamanggabi hook figure is carved from a single piece of wood and displays some detail including red pigment. Circa late 19th century.
Measures 65.5 x 6 x 4 inches.
Good condition noting age splits, a chip below the face and split at the 'foot', minor losses. There are no issues of damage or repair.
