229: A PAIR 19TH C EMPIRE STYLE MAHOGANY VITRINES

A matching pair of French Empire-style gilt bronze mounted mahogany vitrines. Each surmounted by a rectangular stepped molded cornice over conforming case fitted with single arched glazed beveled door opening to reveal glass shelved interior and mirror backing, glazed sides, the whole decorated with gilt bronze berried laurel and palmette mountings, square columnar front supports mounted on plinth base. Each measure 78 x 40 x 18 inches. Provenance: The Joseph Candioto Trust. We ship in-house for all items with the exception of very large and or very fragile pieces and some international shipments.
Very good original condition, free from damage, repair or replacement. Each cabinet is missing a gilt bronze mounting from one short side of the base.
