AN OUTSTANDING NATIONAL CASH REGISTER MODEL 106B

217: AN OUTSTANDING NATIONAL CASH REGISTER MODEL 106B

The exceptional Model 106 - B on oak six-drawer cabinet with bombe' base was sold by Alfred Callahan of Kansas City, Missouri to George C. Rissler for his two-story General Merchandise store in Buckner Missouri, not far from our location. The Empire pattern register with top sign, serial number 562925, retains what appears to be the original nickel finish. The oak stand with six lettered drawers, three false fronts and storage with door on short cabriole legs appears to be in the original oak finish as well. Nickel plated castings decorate the four feet and the six drawers. Nickel plated logos embellish each paneled side, the openwork National casting is missing from the back door.
Measures 67 x 30.5 x 21 inches. Cash register weighs around 600 pounds.
Very good original condition with some keys. Working condition except that the mechanism for switching cashiers did not function and each drawer had to be released from the back inside the mechanism rather than by the normal operation of the cashier.
