VOLKSTEDT PORCELAIN LIDDED BOWLS AFTER 18TH C. SEVRES

205: VOLKSTEDT PORCELAIN LIDDED BOWLS AFTER 18TH C. SEVRES

A pair of early 20th century cobalt glaze and gold gilt two-piece bolted porcelain lidded bowls after the 18th century Sevres examples of hard-paste porcelain with gilt bronze mounts. Whereas the Sevres examples from 1785 were fitted with bronze mounts attributed to Pierre-Philippe Thomire, these are completely porcelain, including the handles, and bear the mark of the Volkstedt porcelain factory in Germany circa 1920. Each measures 13.25 x 10.75 x 9.25 inches. Provenance: The Joseph Candioto Trust. We ship in-house for all items with the exception of very large and or very fragile pieces and some international shipments.
Excellent condition free from damage, repair or wear to any degree. Very fine overall, all original, no condition issues to report.
