204: FINE CONTINENTAL PORCELAIN PLAQUES IN JEWELED FRAMING

A very good pair of unsigned 19th century hand painted porcelain plaques each a painted oval of the Madonna and Child including the work after Raphael's 'Madonna della Seggiola', matching ebonised Dutch ripple frames with semi-precious stones in ormolu metalwork; one frame is adorned with amethyst-colored and topaz-colored stones, the other set with cabochons the colors of lapis, agate, and malachite. Each porcelain plaque is unsigned, there are no markings except for an impressed letter K and a device that resembles the numeral 1 on each verso. The plaques measure 7.5 x 5.5 inches each, each frame measures 18 x 15 inches. Provenance: The Joseph Candioto Trust. We ship in-house for all items with the exception of very large and or very fragile pieces and some international shipments.
Very good condition overall. Complete and original. There are no chips, cracks, scratches, rubs or repairs, no areas of wear.
