A COLLECTION OF VICTORIAN ART GLASS

180: A COLLECTION OF VICTORIAN ART GLASS

Victorian Art Glass Attributed to Thomas Webb: 1. A glossy shaded robin's egg blue vase with enamel applications; 2. A footed egg shape ivory glass vase; 3. A Peleton cabinet vase with brightly colored stringing; 4. A nicely decorated pumpkin seed form vase with long slender neck in deep aubergine cased on white with gilt enamels of butterfly and foliage. The base is marked with propeller-like symbol that is both attributed to and disputed as being a mark of Webb and Sons. Researchers state that there is no confirmation or proof this was ever a Webb mark and it is more likely Bohemian glass.

Plus, four pieces of Victorian overshot art glass, three rubina examples are offered with a fourth colorless bowl as shown.
