169: LOUIS XVI AND MARIE ANTOINETTE MINIATURE PORTRAIT PAIR

An exceptional pair of portraits, circa 1890 - 1910 in bronze rectangular frames each crowned with a French flower basket and festoon of floral garland draped at the top corners. The pair includes a painting of Louis XVI (1754 - 1793) in coronation regalia, after the portrait by Antoine-Francois Callet (1741-1823). Measurements of the image are 5.25 x 3.75 inches, the frame measures 10.5 x 8 inches. Plus a painting of Marie Antoinette (1755 - 1793) after the portrait by Madame LeBrun (Louise Élisabeth Vigée Le Brun). Measurements of the image are 5.25 x 4, the frame measures 10.25 x 7.75 inches. Provenance: The Joseph Candioto Trust. We ship in-house for all items with the exception of very large and or very fragile pieces and some international shipments.
Both in fine condition, free from damage or repair, there are no splits, touch-up, losses or stains.
