166: A LATE 19TH C. EMPIRE STYLE MAHOGANY CENTER TABLE

Circular Patricia green marble overhanging top on mahogany veneered table with stylized laurel and anthemion gilt mounts, raised on three well cast gilt bronze caryatid supports in classical drape on a tripartite plinth base mounted with three gilt female sphinx. Oak secondary woods. Measures 32 x 35.5 inches. 19th century. Provenance: The Joseph Candioto Trust. We ship in-house for all items with the exception of very large and or very fragile pieces and some international shipments.
Minor top edge roughness on the marble and minor veneer bumps and, in one area, loss of veneer on a leading corner; otherwise very good free from damage or repair.
