161: RARE FRENCH ENAMEL COVERED VASE PAIR, MANNER OF SEVRES

A pair of blue ground kiln fired enamel on copper urns with fixed covers topped by an ormolu acanthus finial, the domed cover and the vase body decorated with enamel beading and 'jewels' among translucent foil backed enamel scrolling motifs, ormolu bronze satyr mask handles are mounted at either side, the tapered body set in foliate ormolu mounts above the fluted pedestal ringed by a laurel wreath on the square base with canted corners. Each measures 11.5 x 6.75 inches including satyr adornments. Provenance: The Joseph Candioto Trust. We ship in-house for all items with the exception of very large and or very fragile pieces and some international shipments.
There are a small number of lost enamel beads, plus a 1-inch diameter area of enamel loss and corresponding hairline fracture on the side of one.
