147: AN EARLY 20TH C. SEVRES TYPE VASE 40 INCHES HIGH

The baluster form covered vase with cobalt blue neck decorated in gold enamels and finished by a bronze egg-and-dart pattern trim ring over the body hand painted with a classical maiden and airborne cherubs directing a cherub in red drape with bow and arrow in a woodland setting, further decorated with a blended scene of cherubs forging arrows near a woodland lake, the base with bronze fittings over a cobalt ground socle decorated in gold and fitted with beaded trim to the conforming bronze foot. The height measures 40 inches. Provenance: The Joseph Candioto Trust. We ship in-house for all items with the exception of very large and or very fragile pieces and some international shipments.
Good condition noting that the cover has been broken and restored with an amateur repair, and does not appear to be the original. The body and base are free from damage, repair, restoration, wear or condition issues. The painted portion has crazed. The mounts of the piece are not tight which allows the various parts to revolve on the mounts and in some positions the piece stands unevenly.
