127: A NAPOLEON III GILT BRONZE MOUNTED SLATE TALL CLOCK

High-rectangular case surmounted by gilt-mounted pediment with repousse frieze of frolicking cherubs, the double sunk clock face centering a gilt-bronze filigree roundel surrounded by white enameled chapter dial with Arabic numerals and gilt bezel, flanked by gilt pilasters, the trunk with gilt-bronze rosettes and ruffled acanthus leaves, flanked by a pair of urns raised on plinths base supported by gilt fluted columns, the whole on stepped plinth base with gilt beading and carved flowers.
Provenance: The Joseph Candioto Trust. We ship in-house for all items with the exception of very large and or very fragile pieces and some international shipments.
The hinged back door glass fractured, edge flakes and roughness on high points of the slate case, good overall. There is no pendulum for the movement and the running condition is unknown. Minor hairlines to the dial.
