77: AN 18K CONTEMPORARY DESIGN OPAL AND DIAMOND RING

A triangular form Australian opal approximately 3 to 4 carats in size with a very clean South America Cape mine light yellow square emerald cut diamond approximately .60 carats in size and five .03 carat accent diamonds. The opal measures 14 x 9 mm, stamped mark of 18k, ring size 6.25 and weight 13 grams. Provenance: The Joseph Candioto Trust. We ship in-house for all items with the exception of very large and or very fragile pieces and some international shipments.
The surface of the opal has some indentations under magnification, but is not crazed. The GIA explains that if an opal loses moisture, it can lead to crazing which is a fine network of cracks that resembles a spider's web. This stone does not have crazing.
