A PRINTED MURAL ATTRIBUTED TO THE B & O COLUMBIAN

93: A PRINTED MURAL ATTRIBUTED TO THE B & O COLUMBIAN

Th large format sepia tone photomechanical image titled ALONG THE YOUGHIOGHENY RIVER is printed on paper, mounted to Masonite, hand colored and, apparently, varnished. If not yellowed from varnish, the toning may be from exposure to cigarette smoke, or both. Many times these unframed displays were varnished at some point for a fresh look. The origin is attributed by precious collectors as being form the B & O Railroad dining car The Columbian. This has not been verified and is only an attribution.
Good condition with toning as shown, unframed.
