Benton's comment as noted in Fath reads: 'These Mule powered mills used to be common all over the Ozarks. Now gas engines have largely replaced the mules. I found this old time mill in operation in Newton County, Arkansas in 1969.'
Sheet measures 13 x 17.75 inches in a 16 x 20 inch mat.
Very good clean condition, the complete sheet with deckle edges, not laid down, no stain, damage or repair.
