MOET AND CHANDON MENU AFTER ALPHONSE MUCHA (1860-1939)

18: MOET AND CHANDON MENU AFTER ALPHONSE MUCHA (1860-1939)

Alphonse Maria Mucha (1860-1939)

One example from a set of ten different illustrations Alphonse Mucha was commissioned to create for Champagne Moet and Chandon circa 1900, the advertising menu cards in color lithography heightened with metallic gold published by Champenois, Paris could be lettered by hand in the void and serve as place cards at the dining table.
Menu measures 8.75 x 6, frame size 15.25 x 12 inches.
Apparently the condition is very good, very clean, intact, no visible stain, damage, repair, punctures or tears. This has not been examined outside the frame.
Provenance: The Estate of Robert Allan Haas
