81: A LEEKITY HUMMINGBIRD SQUASH BLOSSOM NECKLACE SET

A wonderful Zuni squash blossom and earring set by Carlene Leekity. Fifteen intricately designed inlay humming birds make up the necklace and earrings, inlaid with turquoise, coral, abalone, jet, gold lip muscle and cowrie shell, strung on chain with sterling bench beads and a hook-and-eye closure, earrings are post back. Necklace and earrings are signed, 'Carlene C. Leekity Zuni' and dated 11-23-2002.
Necklace length is 31 inches. The pendant of 2.25 x 2.25 and earrings are 1.25 x 0.75 inches.
Excellent condition with no signs of major wear. One of the earrings are missing a back.
