The unusual form with cusped edge and dark flowered ground with four iron-red shaped reserve panels picturing a solitary foreign foot-traveler in colorful garb, the interior with repeated reserves and four Chinese style characters and a Chinese-style circlet of Pine, Bamboo and Plum 'The Three Friends' (allegories for long life and also the three main religions of China - Buddhism, Daoism and Confucianism). the tall foot with a circle of blue bars in the manner of 17th century Nabeshima wares.
Measures 4.25 x 5.75 inches.
Very good condition, noting chips and cracks as shown, no restoration, interior crazing.
