A RARE 5C COIN DROP SKILL GAME, NON PAREIL C. 1890

117: A RARE 5C COIN DROP SKILL GAME, NON PAREIL C. 1890

A very rare "Three For One" coin drop 'skill' game that would have paid out three nickels if a nickel released through the top slot happened to take just the right course through the internal mechanism and tripped a pay-out. Two versions of this machine were produced by the Non Pareil Novelty Co. in 1889 and 1893. The oak case with overhanging top on vertical rectangular case, raised on cast-iron base with remains of nickel plating.
Measures 14 1/2 x 11 1/2 x 5
Good condition noting only the effects of age and normal use. The finish appears to be the original, considerable oxidation to the previously nickel-plated base, the exact working condition is not known, though the mechanism appears intact.
