A 17th century oil on canvas full Length portrait of a young boy wearing a ruff collar, red jacket and pants, within an interior with drape on his left and a table on his right, his dog at his feet and a pet bird perched on his right hand. No information or signatures have been found. Displayed in a good period frame, probably the original frame.
The size of the work itself is 50 x 35 inches. Overall size measures 55 x 40.5 inches.
Relined circa 19th century(?), in-painting at the proper right shoulder approximately 5 x 7 inch area, otherwise only a few small touch-ups, minor scuffs and rubs.
