235: CHARLES HARRIS 1895 LONDON STERLING SILVER EPERGNE

An Adam style centerpiece or epergne on oval openwork frame with ribbed apron raised on four scroll legs joined by laurel festoons connecting two oval medallions cast with an Adam style urn, all supporting a central openwork boat-shape basket and four branches supporting four boat shape baskets, four branches supporting four circular baskets, the large central basket and four matching oval baskets with an open cartouche. Hallmarks: all detachable pieces have maker's mark and lion passant if not maker's and date marks, the stand and large basket with full hallmarks.
The overall size measures 23 x 15 x 16 inches. Weighs 118.10 ozt.
Very good original condition noting a recent repair to one arm for circular sweetmeat basket where the support post for that arm attaches to the arm and slides into an opening on the frame. There are no engravings, monograms, breaks, other repairs, no areas of serious wear.
