180: TWO MATCHING METTLACH PAINT UNDER GLAZE STEINS

A pair of 1/4 liter steins, each with inlaid lid, curvilinear decoration of florals and foliage painted under the glaze, artist signed M. Hein, impressed markings under the base include Abbey trademark, METTLACH, GESCHUTZ, numerals 1977, II, circa 1889.
Measure 6 x 4.5 inches.
Very good condition, free from chips, cracks, repairs, scratches and wear.
